In a major step forward for unmanned airships, Galaxy Unmanned Systems LLC is officially recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration Office (AUS) for National Airspace System operation. After months of dedicated coordination and the development of a comprehensive Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Galaxy has successfully secured an FAA Program Manager to work directly with the company. This collaboration ensures streamlined system development and coordinated entry into complex and restricted airspace for a yet to be publicly disclosed high-profile event in mid 2025.

Setting New Standards for Airspace Coordination
With FAA support, Galaxy Unmanned Systems is excited to lead the way in advancing the role of UAS in large-scale operations, especially since the partnership will facilitate early identification of regulatory and operational challenges, enhance safety case coordination, and quicken the approval process for operating in restricted airspace.
"We are honored to work alongside the FAA in pioneering safe and effective UAS operations at this scale," said CEO Jason White. "This milestone highlights government and commercial commitment to innovation, safety, and regulatory excellence in the drone industry."
Galaxy’s achievement in this space not only benefits its own operations but also contributes to the broader effort of integrating drones into the national airspace for a variety of commercial and public safety applications.

Looking Ahead
With preparations underway for the mid 2025 event, Galaxy Unmanned Systems is focused on demonstrating the full potential of drone technology in supporting large-scale operations.
Galaxy's ability to easily meet FAA requirements and coordinate with regulatory authorities sets a precedent for future UAS applications in major events and critical operations worldwide.
As the industry continues to evolve, Galaxy remains at the forefront of innovation, proving that unmanned systems can operate safely and effectively in some of the most challenging airspace environments.
