Galaxy Unmanned Systems LLC and the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) would like to invite those interested in Drones, EVTOL Flying Cars, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM), or graduate-level STEM projects to a technology showcase hosted by UTA. This is your chance to see the World’s only autonomous unmanned blimp system designed and manufactured right here in Arlington, Texas.
Visitors will see the GC50P-E4B and GC35-G2A airship envelopes cold-inflated inside the Maverick Activities Center at UTA. Also on display will be the fleet of multirotor and fixed-wing drone systems that Galaxy uses to validate software and hardware solutions for various National Airspace System (NAS) Integration research. Those contracts and collaborations include OEMs and agencies such as Bell Helicopters, Boeing, NASA, the United States Airforce, and the United States Army.
Visitors will see autonomy simulations developed by UTA graduate students Uluhan Cem Kaya and Abhishek Kashyap, under the guidance of UTA faculty Dr. Kamesh Subbarao and Dr. Animesh Chakravarthy in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department. These software and hardware exhibits represent deliverables from a current U.S. Airforce AFWERX Phase II STTR contract being performed collaboratively by Galaxy and UTA. Visitors will also get a chance to be the PIC (Pilot In Command) on the Galaxy unmanned airship flight simulator.
The Galaxy and UTA team will be on hand to give interviews and explain the various applications and mechanics of how the systems works during this two-day event from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on December 12th – 13th, 2022, at the Maverick Activities Center at UTA. For further assistance or information, please call 817-272-3277
The Galaxy and UTA team looks forward to seeing you there!
